Some pictures from my Cruises

At the Watch

Well, being on the watch means, you and about 12 other people are responsible for the whole ship. So you have to be alert at all times. There's now time to lie on the deck, watch the stars, etc. On the other hand, it was cold that night ...

(Oh, and by the way, I am the one smiling at the camera.)

In the Rigg

That's me, I'm sitting in the boatswains-chair (literal translation from german, is it right?). Everywhere else, you'd call it a swing, but on board it is used to work at places where you normally can't do any work. The rope in the front is what I am hanging on, whenever you want to work at a place more then 1m away, you'll have to call someone on deck to let you down a bit. BTW, I am working on the wire rope, so that it won't rust later. (Sorry, I don't know the words I need, maybe when I get some time, I'll look them up ... or do you know what I mean and can tell me?

"Tronti"

On the "Cutty Sark Tall Ships Races" there are many prizes to win. In this year we won the prize for the best presentation at the Crew Parade: "Tronti" is his name. (It was in Trondheim.)
